This fabulous antique Sterling Silver bird locket is Victorian, dated Birmingham 1900.

The piece is adorned on the front with a fabulous engraved bird resting on a branch of leaves.

Victorian jewellery mirrored Queen Victoria’s life with the ‘Romantic’ period producing decorative animal, bird and insect pieces, symbolising the monarch’s sentimental side.

The locket opens and closes securely and is fitted with Gold rims at either side.

All set in Sterling Silver and complete with hallmarks on the reverse.

The piece displays pristine Victorian workmanship all round with a secure ring clasp attached at the top.

A wonderful antique treasure that would look fabulous displayed on a Silver chain!

Weighs 20.1 grams.

Measures 35mm across x 45mm down - 65mm down including bale.
